IN SEARCH OF THE COMET

This short cybernetic hike will introduce you to night hiking. MOST Outdoors Club hikes are NOT night hikes so don't worry if this is not your cup of tea. This club has been doing this since it came into existence for over twenty years. I learned this form of hiking while a college student in THE GREAT STATE OF MISSOURI while attending PARK COLLEGE. (Hey I'm loyal to Missouri and my Alma Mater). Good sturdy flashlights are required. For this occasion my cousin Sean carried a special light so we are able to bring you a few pictures of what it is like on some of our personal hikes. But perhaps it is not meant to be seen what night hiking is like. It is to be experienced. I do not believe one can safely lead a day hike unless he can get his group out in the dark. Running like mad men to get out before dark and exposing oneself to fool hardyness is the true danger. Night hiking is not a pursuit of crazies. But rather a communion with something SACRED which is the earth we live on. It demands this reverence PLUS the ability to laugh. Join my younger cousins (who are experts at this) on this short cybernetic hike.
